Wine On A Dime Reviews

Cavit Pinot Grigio
Year : who cares?
Country :
Price level : 6-10.00

Light, crisp and refreshing. No acidic bite at the end that you get with some of those cheap Pinot Grigio's. This is my white "go to" for company or to use as a mixer for a cheap and easy white sangria!

Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon
Year : 2008
Country :
Price level : 8-11.00

Slightly sweet and fruity with a hint of smoky oak. Finishes nice and soft. A good in between if you don't care for Merlot or Malbec. The Mondavi site is excellent to get your wine knowledge to! http://robertmondavi.com/

Apothic Red
Year : 2008
Country :
Price level : Average price 10.00 but have seen it for 5.00
So maybe you have been enjoying wine for a few years and you are ready to venture into the REDS.. this is a fruit forward (this means fruity is what you get the most in the taste) its light and smooth. Any wines that say velvety, vanilla or chocolate hints are always a winner with me! You can get this at even grocery stores .. bottles cute to!
Beringer White Zin
Year : any as far as I'm concerned but I'm probably wrong!
    Price level : 5.00-7.00

Wine Snob

White Zinfandel is the drink every wine snob loves to hate, (aka me) It’s cheap, sweet, and simple. Beringer does it right with strawberry and peach and a soft shock of ripe berries and stone fruit. excellent thirst quencher especially for those who dont like wine.. but wanna drink cuz its cool hahaha! Ok. yeah.. I'd drink if I had to.... (maybe)

Its in the name!

I think the name says it all honestly.. even giving this as a gift is a good idea because the name elicits something childlike inside of us ladies! It is a easy smooth berrylicious red.. very small hint of chocolate, I would have liked more but still a solid wine that stands on its own!
Have a party.. with some cupcake wine and check out these cupcakes at

Prosecco

Year :
Country : Italy
Price level : 15.00-17.00
Special Occasions
I cannot say enough good things about this amazing sparkling wine! This is better than many champagnes that I have had and is half the cost. It's delicate and fruity, with an aroma of apple. Do not think this is anythign like cheap champagnes like Asti Spumanti.. oh no my friends.. the bubble will have you feelin happy in no time. Even my husband.. the beer man loves this!

Layer Cake Malbec

Year : 2007-2009
Country : Argentina
Price level : 13-15

Let Them Eat Cake!

Malbec is NOT for you if you are a sweet wine drinker or beginner. Malbecs are usually robust, can be spicey. I tend to like the ones that are more fruity and lush. This one fits the bill with anise, chocolate and very pleasant touches of spice. Soft, lush and fragrant.. Layer Cake Malbec is an intense mouthful of fruit-driven wine, finishing with very soft tannins. Delicious!

Zaca Mesa Z Gris Rose

Year : 2009
Country : USA
Price level : 10-15

For the Zinfandel Lovers!

Juicy cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and dried citrus fruit plays against a slightly earthy quality, making for a complex, sophisticated rose.
Rose wines are generally sneered at by wine connoisseurs, but many people find their crispness and lightness very refreshing in hot weather, leading to them being often referred to as summer wines. Styles vary widely, but in general, a Rose wine is much simpler than a true heavyweight white or red wine – even if made from the same grapes.
